    Description

    Here is the original label from a Spanish American War veterans post for a ships lamp or lantern from the USS MAINE! At one time I owned this lantern and do not know where it is after a series of moves. This is a real deal label from the early 1900s and it was attached to the lantern or ships lamp. The large cardboard piece with the hole measures 6 1/4 inch by 3 1/8 inch. The smaller attached label is 4 inch by 1 3/4 inch- it says " Remains of Ship Lamp found on the U S Ship Maine and presented by Hon. Claude Stone to Pekin Camp No. 25 United Spanish War Vets". This is a once in a lifetime find if you have one of these lamps but no label. Any questions please ask and thanks for looking.
