    RARE: Spanish American War Era US Army McKeever Cadet Cartridge Box
    This is an original and RARE Spanish America War Era U.S. Army Leather McKeever Cadet Cartridge Box for .30-40 Krag Cartridges.  The box is in very nice condition. The leather is soft and supple and there are no cracks or crazing.  Nice US marking on the front.  The interior canvas cartridge pockets are also in nice condition. They are not streched out or torn, as is common, in these boxes.  The edge of the box is marked Rock Island Arsenal 1908 H.E.K.  This is a Cadet Box, it has had the Brass belt loops installed on the rear and the number "71" added to the front.  Cadet McKeever Boxes are RARE.
